Sperm Whale Head forms part of the Gippsland Lakes National Park and is located at Point Wilson on a landmass that from the air or on a map resembles the shape of a sperm whale.
This location is one of ten parks and reserves in Gippsland that are now under joint management between the State Government & the Gunai/Kurnai Traditional Owners. Visitors to Sperm Whale Head can learn about the Gunai/Kurnai Creation story and the history of the local area.
There is an abundance of wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, and a diverse range of birdlife at Sperm Whale Head, along with lots of flora and fauna.
We will have about a 30 minute stop at Sperm Whale Head so you can explore. Bring your water, a snack or your lunch and enjoy the Lake beach. (Please note, this is not the Ninety Mile Ocean Beach).
We will then head cruise around Paynesville and the Canals where you will be able to see our beautiful town from the water.
We will explore the waterways around our charming village which is surrounded by lakes on three sides with canals and inlets and along the way you will see some of Paynesville's most prestigious and delightful waterfront homes.
